MODULE 2 - General Purpose of Trios of Traits

This is another lesson plan module rubric for Trio of Traits, that I would like to use these Scripture passages and reflections. The general premise is to move between the "Attention" - or having a single-minded, loving presence - in your ideas, your creativity, you drive just the Son through the Will of the Father with unity of the Spirit in extraordinary works of creation - from the beginning to the new creation. Having "Action" - being deliberate and sacrificial through obedience - meaning, aligning your own personal goals and expression within your will with that of God's Will and purpose for you. Which is to love Him, to glorify Him, to worship Him - to be in full relationship with Him - If we cannot surrender to what we cannot control then we will never be willing to experience the wonders of success that always starts with failure in order to learn and get better. And lastly, "Artistry" - Transcendent Beauty and Redemptive Mastery - Just like Jesus at the Cross, where the ugliness of a bloody, violent death of a peasant criminal is the simple sign of new creation in the restoration of humanity to their rightful place with the Divine - you too, through the creative expression of your mind can make something beautiful and beneficial for the world by continuously elevating your ideas and striving through encouragement to build anew - in your life, in society, for culture, for God. -

Attention:

John 13:1 — “Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.”

• Jesus never wavered from His obedience to the Father's Will nor did He steer away from the attentive detail for why the Incarnation was needed. Even when knowing that His purpose as Man was to die, to take on the fullness of humanity's infinite sins, He never drifted away from the objective. Even when He lost followers by speaking Truths, like in John 6; He never wavered. Jesus always maintained His composure and stayed attentive. So what can we take from all this? This is quite simple if we're honest about ourselves. Never give up. If you have an idea yet it fails to fruition and no one seems to be taking you serious, keep pushing. If you have to just let your creativity flow. Be active when you offers are declined. Evolve with your plans and always be willing to reassess and expand your ideas into a fuller expression - And keep knocking at the door. When you keep knocking and seeking, you will always find success (Matthew 7:7-8).

Luke 23:34 — “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” → Even while being crucified, He gave focused attention to His accusors and His executioners—acknowledging their ignorance, pleading for their forgiveness, wanting to ensure their salvation. And so, just like Jesus, you too have this unique objective. Even when things don't seem like they are going your way - your ideas aren't getting heard - your content is barely being notice - your creativity is being tested - Just remember, that effort and attempt will never go unjust. Keep working, keep thinking, keep doing and all will bare fruit soon enough. You just cannot give up. Stay attentive to the propelling for your creativity!

John 19:26–27 — “When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, ‘Woman, behold, your son!’ Then he said to the disciple, ‘Behold, your mother!’” → In the worst agony imaginable, He still noticed and cared for Mary and John—attentive love to the very end. And in doing so, He through John, gave us a model mother - His Mother - will always be there for us when we need her. To cheer us on. To intercede on our behalf in our troubles. To guide us into the graces that make us whole. So whenever you are in doubt about yourself, believing you can't do anything right - call upon Momma Mary, and she will lead to the only person whom truly believes in you - Jesus - Never do not take your attention of Jesus, lest you be like Peter sinking in the rough seas, but even then still call out and He will come (Matthew 14:22-23). Even the littlest of faith like a mustard seed with grow into the largest of belief in yourself through your creativity, for it is all God whom dwells within you. You will "move mountains" with the Lord. (Matthew 17:14-20)

Moral of the story: Do not permit indifference, betrayal, failure, pain and certain injustice distract you from your true purpose. Your purpose is to create, to build, to help give the world a taste of the Kingdom of God. Amen.

Action:

Luke 9:51 — “When the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.” → He took decisive action—choosing the path to suffering. Jesus was quite literally born to die. We can prove it in the nativity narrative of both Matthew and Luke; He was born in the "House of Flesh"; Bethlehem. He was laid to rest on hay in a manger; a livestock feeding troth - And so, when it came time to set forth for Jerusalem one final time, He knew the jig was up. Yet He went. He remained obedient to His Father's Will and understood why He was sent to become Man. Whenever you seem in doubt of yourself and if you are creative enough, smart enough; just remember, Jesus died for you, so what is worse in your life? Keep your head up and keep on breaking through the doors of your mind, always jumping right back up when you stumble and fall. By the way, He isn't going to let you fall like He was forced to you, unless you don't let Him hold you up. In doubt, call upon the Holy Spirit, and allow His gifts to intertwine with your creativity. Then again, the Father made you and your gifts are His, keep working and tearing it up!

John 10:17–18 — “For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord.” → The Cross was not forced; it was His voluntary, sovereign action. And so, even through your struggles to through self doubt and negative self-talk, just remember that it is you whom are voluntarily granting the world a glimpse to your creativity trying to make a difference - just like our Triune God whom created the world, wanting to share the beauty of His love with us.

Philippians 2:4-8 — "Let each of you look not to your own interests, but to the interests of others. Let the same mind be in you that was[a] in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be exploited, but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being born in human likeness. And being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death—even death on a cross." →Obedience was active—He chose every step, every moment of surrender. Thus, remember that you have one, full and active purpose as a child of God - to be in complete and adorated love with Him. As it is through Him that you are you and your creativity will always emulate Him. Once we all humble ourselves and relinquish all control to Him, let your expression run incredibly wild.

Moral of the story: Christ’s action were never reactive or reluctant. It was always about love. He moved with intention and laid down His life willingly, for you. What will you do for Him? Perhaps, you embrace your God given talents to expand upon that Love and master the craft that you were always destined for!

Artistry:

Isaiah 53:2–5 “He had no form or majesty that we should look at him... he was despised and rejected... But he was pierced for our transgressions... with his wounds we are healed.” The most grotesque scenes in mankind's violent history, is that of crucifixion. The symbol of the Cross should stoke fear and trembling in all of us for just how condemning it was. Instead, it is commanding is truth of love that God became man, to humble Himself with all His power and glory, to be a lesser of a servant and die a criminal's death; for our sake and the sake all humanity separated by the stain of sin. Take that gross image of death and use it as inspiration within your own expanded ideas, and create the most beautiful thing imaginable, to show the world that even in ugliness there is beauty.

John 12:32 — “And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” → The Cross is artistry with magnetic power—as through the ugliness of violent death and agonizing suffering, came life in Christ's resurrection on the third day for which we are now restored through Him our rightful place with God, if we so choose. Are you going to an opposite attraction and be pulled into greatness of creative mind? Or will you repel yourself away from the magnet of grace, mercy and love? The choice is yours.

Hebrews 2:9–10 “But we see him... crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death... For it was fitting that he... should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering.” → The Cross perfected the work of salvation. And so your imagination can become a masterpiece for the world to love and benefit from.

Revelation 5:9–10 “Worthy are you... for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation...” → The Cross is the masterpiece that creates a new, redeemed humanity—a new creation of the new Adam for whom remained obedient and faithful to the very end. Thus, your imagination can restore great things in benefit to our world as you press your ideas deeper, expand on those ideas into a creative blueprint and promote that blueprint to be built to help feed good things for our cultures and societies.

Moral of the story: Not all of the best ideas come to fruition because the creativity might lack and many of us procrastinate and get lazy, we do not finish what we started. Jesus finished what He set out to do when He was walking this earth, it's time for us to finally pull ourselves up and finish was we all know we can finish if we put our minds to it. Be the creator like Your Father. Be the master like Jesus. Be the craftsman of greatness like the Holy Spirit.
